Getting crafty with my babygirl.

Wowzer January is almost over. What have i been up to? Well aside from hibernating from Illinois's extreme cold, I've been attempting to finishing projects. I have a zillion unfinished projects to complete. I like to work on multiple projects (short attention span), it keeps me from getting bored of what i'm working on. The problem with working on multiple projects is not going back and completing the first project. One of my "BIG GOALS of 2014|" is to go back and complete those projects. As January comes to a close I'm off to a pretty good start of getting some works in progress completed.
Last year while Cai was still attending Cornell I started a banner for Cai to give as a sorority gift.  I never finished it and this year she transferred to U.I.C. That banner project sat in my unfinished pile for a whole year. With the help of my darling daughter Cai we not only finished the banner we also made 2 additional banners, and few other  gift goodies. Cai will be taking them with her as she visits her sorority sisters at Cornell this week.
Today I'm sharing our mommy daughter collaborations, and checking a project off my list.

Thanks for stopping by have crafty day.

Crafty for Christmas 2013

Getting crafty for Christmas! I am attempting  to tackle some projects I have had in mind for some time now. I follow lots of  craft sites, watch You Tube, and scroll Pinterest  but don't make time use that inspiration. This December I'm going to have fun getting crafty and actually do some fun crafts.

Today I made four snowman top hats. I love them. The are made from recycled records, cans and stuff from my Christmas stash. They can be holders for cookies, gifts etc. Yay!

What i've created lately...

OKay, so I haven't been posting on my blog. I have been creating stuff. I have been trying my hand at mini books and altered projects. I have been posting stuff on FB from my phone (mostly because it's quick). I joined lots of FB craft groups. This project was a challenge at the Craft Hole group on FB. A matchbook  challenge. I don't have that many followers if any, but I guess I should post here too.:).  this project was a lot of fun and I really like the Prima paper collection. It's basically a matchbox with a mini album that pulls out like a drawer. the pages are die cut coin envelopes. Used embelli's from my stash and this is what it became.
thanks for stopping by. Love crafting.

quick upcycle stamping project

 Sharing a quick stamping project.
Using twill ribbon, a few stamps, Staz-on ink, and a free lunch box, I quickly made a cute personalized lunchbox.
As I was packing goodies to send to my daughter, who is away at college, I noticed she needed a lunchbox . Cai is going to New Jersey during Spring Break as a Sandy Relief volunteer. I was more than happy to fulfill her list of needed items, after searching for a small luncbox to fit the requirements, I came up with this.
I stamped a few travel stamps on the twill. I burned the edges to prevent raveling. I like the way it gave and old map look. I glued it over the logo and presto! Cool personal lunch bag.

Super quick! Thanks for stopping by.
                                                                    Have a great day!

What I'm crafting now.

Today I worked on a Babies First Year album. I found a You Tube tutorial for a monthly paper bag album from creativecraftgirl and Tatteredrosestudios. I love when crafters share. Thank you ladies!
I changed it up a bit by adding  my own spin on it. I added an extra pocket and made it a baby album. It's almost finished. I used paper from my stash and 12 large (regular) grocery bags.

I will share more photos once its completed.
Thanks for popping In.

Layouts 2013

I complete 32 layouts and 5 mini albums. Sadly I have camera issues, with not being techy and no help :( I lost my photos. Once I solve this problem I will add the other finished stuff.

Oh, and I am scrapping from my stash. I really need to diminish my stacks of unused paper/ supplies. :) I know most of my papers are old lol. I loved it, had to have it and then I hoared it lol!
